10 Reasons Why You Might Want To Start Blogging

I can’t say enough about blogging! Blogging is good for anyone or any business. Blogging can be educational, interesting, resourceful and FUN!

There are many reasons why a person or a business might want to blog.

Here are 10 reasons to consider blogging….

To Build An Audience

Blogging is a perfect way to build a following and attract an audience. And you can attract a large and varied audience or an audience in a specific niche. For example a blog about your life and life’s experiences might attract a lot of different types of people and followers because they become interested in you and your philosophies and experience.

However, a blog that is business or niche specific might only attract those types of people or consumers looking to connect with that brand or purchase that type of product.

Build Relationships

A good blog will let people get to know you and/or your company or business. Relationships are built on trust and integrity and a blog is the perfect way to build this know/like/trust factor quickly.

In 2021 and beyond, building relationships is more important than ever. We are transitioning from an industrial world into more of an information and virtual world and solid relationships that evoke trust are essential.

Create A Warm Market

Blogging allows you to create a warm market with people you have never even met yet and to also foster the relationships that you already have with people or with your current customers.

It is also a great two-way street because you can get to know your audience better by monitoring what they engage with the most when you post and by the comments they leave… a marketer’s dream. 🙂

Create Value

This is a huge piece to blogging. Blogging is one of the BEST ways to create value with your audience and your potential customers or consumers of your information or your products. In a world of information overload this is KEY. There are very few new products or services out there, so the best way to stand out is to be unique in some way and/or to create value.

Blogging allows you to create tremendous value by offering up a platform to educate, inform, and specifically target any niche or audience that you want to reach. This makes you the blogger, the one in control of the information.

Create Opportunities

We are all in this world together and the more we support one another and collaborate, the better for all. Blogging is a great way to initiate and source out further opportunities. Through blogging people or companies might find you and want to collaborate or to do a joint venture project of some sort. The potential for opportunities is vast and infinite and is really quite exciting.

Create Content

Content is King in the internet world today and blogging is a great way to create useful content and content that can be repurposed and reused again and again. For example, I am starting a 4-week blogging course in two days. I will use this blog post in the first class to go over some reasons why it is great to blog and to reinforce their choice to blog through listing the benefits in this very post. I will then send them the link to have for their resources for the course.

I can then take this post and share it over on my other social media platforms and even send it to my email list. I could make a podcast from it and I could also include any form of this blog post in course content for future courses. I could also take quotes from this post and make my own quotes graphics or put some quotes up on Twitter.

I could take the content verbiage and make a video out of it.

This is one of the things that I really love about blogging is that you are never wasting time by blogging because you can use the content over and over and over again. I often send people to my prior blog posts as a resource.

This is especially handy for me when I am asked questions about health. I often send people links to specific posts over on my health and wellness blog at https://maggiesvitamins.blog/ I kind of see this as having a giant online filing cabinets with my documents and resources and they are always accessible and handy.

Tell Your Story

Whether your personal story, or the story of your business or brand, stories are the most effective marketing technique ever. People love stories and they love to know where people have come from. They want to know what inspired you to make changes in your life or what propelled you to start your business. They want to know the human side of it all.

Why? Because we are all human and we relate to others in a human way. Maybe your story is that you were inspired to write a book or to write poems after a life-changing event and your readers have this little spark inside of them and they want to write poetry too! They want to be inspired from YOU! They want to relate to other humans walking the earth. So this is where the stories come in. The stories are the common threads that connect us as humans.

To Inspire

If you want a fast track to marketing at this time in history, it is to inspire people. Selling or marketing through inspiration is the fast track to business growth. People are awakening to their passions and to their desires. DIY projects, cooking, crafting, writing, music, coaching, branding, influencing, education and learning, artistry, personal empowerment, and more, are at all-time high!

Blogging is a sure fire way to offer inspiration and to help people to connect and to fire up their passions and desires. When you or your blog inspires others they connect to you and/or your brand and they trust you for advice and/or potential product recommendations. The key here is to ‘inspire’ people.

Validate Expertise

Imagine you need heart surgery and you go to the cardiologist and ask him what he thinks about your upcoming procedure. And he says something like “Hmm, geez, I am not quite sure… I hope it goes well but we’ll have to wait and see I guess”.

How does that make you feel? You get the point here. A blog is your opportunity to validate your expertise by sharing what you know. And this is often the biggest obstacle that stops people from blogging in the first place. They underestimate the value in what they do know!

We all know stuff!

Why? Because life has taught us stuff! So simple. Did you ever have a baby? Clean a house? Organize a room? Fix a lawn mower? Etc. Etc. Etc. You get the idea. We all know more about something than someone else who has not yet experienced it and less about other things that some people have experienced that we have not yet. Whew! I hope that one made sense. 🙂

The point is that we can help others by sharing what we do know! 🙂 And a reminder that the human aspect and connection is what we all want so this goes back to telling your story and inspiring others too! The story could be how you never imagined that you could fix your own lawn mower but you watched a video and this is what you learned and you are now sharing it with others! So simple. That is a blog post my friends. 🙂

So now that I started writing this, I realize that I could write way more than 10 reasons for starting a blog, but I will save those for another blog post hee hee.

I hope that you found this helpful and if you or anyone you know would like info about my upcoming blog courses, please reach out. I am good at accommodating people when it comes to times and group sizes.

I would love to hear your comments or thoughts about blogging too! And be sure to have an AMAZING day whenever you are reading this.

Stretch Your Mind

A picture of a man with his eyes closed and his mind or brain ‘lit up’ in yellow with a quote by Oliver Wendell Holmes “Man’s mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions.”

Oh how I loved this quote this morning when I saw it! Oh ya!

We ARE Master Creators!

We are master creators and when we use our thoughts and our minds together, we can stretch our range and create new ideas and realities and expand on them.

When my daughter was really little she used to talk about “minding” things. She would say “I minded it Mom”. She was had already tapped into the power that we all have and she was using it!!!!

Why I love this quote also is because it taps into the realm of Infinite Possibilities and being that I am a Certified Infinite Possibilities Trainer & Coach, I so resonate with this. I LOVE teaching people able the power of infinite possibilities in their life. It is exciting stuff!

I hope today that stretch your mind in many directions 🙂 Stretching is expansion and expansion is growth.

It is just like abundance. Until we stretch our minds and open them up to having abundance, we will have as much abundance as we are open to receiving so stretch, stretch, stretch my friends. Abundance is yours for the taking!

Have a great day everyone!

YOU are the Power!

“You are the most powerful magnet in the Universe! You contain a magnetic power within you that is more powerful than anything in this world, and this unfathomable magnetic power is emitted through your thoughts.” Bob Doyle

Do you really realize how powerful you are? I know it and I know how powerful I am also. 🙂 In fact, I own this power. I like it. I use it and I work with it every day!

It really is soooo simple. Use your thoughts as the tools they are and make sure when you are working in your workshop aka ‘your mind’ you are using the proper tools.

And that would be the thoughts you choose and use that are for your highest good and are for your best.

Also, very important, when it comes to the law of attraction, love is what attracts so you must LOVE what you are doing. Just like a bear loves honey and a bee a flower… it is that loving of it that pulls it to it or draws it forth.

I Love So Called ‘Mistakes’

Quote on Background: “The most valuable thing you can make is a mistake – you can’t learn anything from being perfect”.

We have all heard the old saying “Fail your way to success” right? 🙂

I do not see anything as so called mistakes. I see everything as stepping stones to greatness! Me 🙂

I see everything as choices and tries. I try something and if it is condusive to my goal it stays in the plan. If it is not, it has to go. And the best part is is that it shows me the way to go!

I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work. Thomas A. Edison

Repeat Your Way to Success!

“We are what we repeatedly do. Success is not an action but a habit.” ?????

I love this quote that many have quoted Aristotle for being the originator of, but now there are many who say that is false and that it was not from Aristotle. And do you know what? 🙂 I don’t care who said it, I love it!

I just love this quote and it works for me 🙂

When it comes to internet marketing and building a digital empire, I especially love this quote! It makes me feel really good about my efforts and strides that I have been working on and making every day for the past many years. 🙂 Every day I hammer away at my keyboard, every day I learn new things, every day I try to post valuable stuff to help others, every day I dig deeper and deeper into the keys and the success codes to make my online empire more and more of a reality.

It’s Working!

♥ AND it’s working. ♥ Success does not come over night. It’s a process. It’s a journey. It’s consistent work that pays off if you hang in there.

Success is about taking small action steps, being open minded, willing to learn, willing to ask questions, willing to never give up, and success is committing to your dreams! Damn it. It’s important! YOU and YOUR dreams are damn important.

✴ 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬. ✴

And most importantly…. please don’t let yourself down…. stay the course and keep on hammering away at your dreams.

I wish you all the best on your journey. 🙂

Just Do Something!

“No man who is occupied in doing a very difficult thing and doing it well, ever loses self respect.”

George Bernard Shaw

“As soon as you trust yourself you will know how to live.”

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

If you are like me you are overwhelmed with choices and ideas and perhaps struggle with focus? Especially when it comes to business building. There are so many things I want to do. 🙂

I love these two quotes that I shared above.

The first one reminds me to ‘just do something‘. Take a project one bite at a time and continue the baby steps. This empowers us and propels us to continue and to be pleased with our results, which is where we gain self-respect.

The second quote reminds me of the blog post I did the other day about Imposture Syndrome:

We need to trust ourselves and know that we are good enough to start, to ‘do something’. No-one knows it all and no one is perfectly polished in perfection. It is always and always will be a JOURNEY! So we need to trust our spirit and our ‘want to’ and just go for it! Just Do It! 🙂

Imposture Syndrome

Okay we all suffer from this at some point, let’s face it. 🙂

I saw this quote this morning and it got me thinking.

Here it is and it is from: http://findingjoy.net/

It hit me like a ton of bricks! Why do we wait? Why do we stop ourselves from sharing/serving/offering? Why do we question ourselves if we are good enough? Smart enough? Brave enough?

None of that matters. I get it now! It’s back to that old saying ‘just do something’. The people who make a difference in the world do it in spite of their inherent insequrities, weaknesses and so called faults. They just ‘Do It’. They show up. They do something. They share something. They offer something. They just ‘Do It’.

They also realize that no one is perfect and that the ones that are doing something are just doing something in spite of all their insecurities too!

“The world doesn’t need perfection, it just needs YOU”.

I get it now, do you? 🙂 Go out there and be the YOU you were meant to be… sharing of yourself and offering your gifts to the world.
