How Do You Look At Expenses?

I was over on one of my up and coming favorite platform, Alignable, and I love their Advice Section. It is a place where you can ask for or offer advice and today I answered a question about expenses.

The question was: How regularly do you evaluate your expenses? And will you be reviewing them now that it is a New Year and new quarter, etc. And will you be watching your finances?

Here was my answer:

I am a little different. My solution to just about every situation is to “make more money”. So rather than spending a lot of time focusing on where I can cut things out or on what I can change out, I focus on ways to add to my DIS (Diversified Income Streams).

I love to leverage and I leverage my time, my money, and my resources. I do not mind AT ALL paying for tools, education, courses, systems etc. to make my life and work easier. I think that is smart and I invest in myself often. And of course, I will let go of whatever is not working for me or not bringing me JOY in my work and my life.

However, the bulk of my energy goes into being proactive and full speed ahead.

Here is an example.

I love to shop at Winners (The USA Version of TJ Maxx) and they always give me a survey with my receipt with a chance to fill it out to win a prize. I learned quickly that the time it takes me to fill out a survey could be making me money instead so I stopped filling those out.

I see my time as an asset or a liability and that to me is wasting my time and not an asset. Same thing fighting for a $20 or $30 error or charge…. sometimes way too much time and energy and not worth it in the big picture.

When one stops focusing on ‘the lack of money’ in their decisions that is when the big things that are magical can truly happen! 🙂

As to watching my finances,  I am going to watch them GROW because that is what I focus on.. abundance and helping others to add more abundance into their lives! 🙂 And I quite like that 🙂

So There You Have It!

That was my answer and is always the way I see things. I remember reading a post on Facebook one time about a person sharing her frustration about not having any more corners to cut in their household budget and they didn’t know what to do to make it work even after credit counselling and all I could think was “have you looked for ways to add in more income?” Was that even put on the table?

Anyhow, I hope that you too learn to focus on diversifying your income and adding in more resources when you need them. It sure helps to take the pressure off. 🙂 And if you need a way, talk to me. I am full of ideas and I am sure one will work for YOU!

Have a great day everyone!

On Branding

Branding is not something you do once. Branding is an ongoing process in your business and also in regard to who you are. Regardless of the size of your business or if you are personally branding yourself as a public figure or not, you are always branding yourself at the same time that you brand your business.

As part of your marketing and branding strategy, every week you could be writing, creating, posting, and sharing content. From blog posts to tweets, from reports and downloads to email messages, you’re communicating with your audience, potential customers, and current customers. You’re sharing a message. And you are branding!

If that message is consistent, then people start to develop trust and expectations. They learn who you are and what you stand for. If your message is inconsistent, then your audience is left confused and unsure of who you are and where you stand. This confusion generally leads to them leaving your fold, or never entering it in the first place.

If you want to attract customers and keep them, your message has to be consistent from message to message and across your content channels. In short, you have to have a brand and that brand has to be communicated clearly and effectively in every piece of content that you share.

A strong and consistent brand provides you with:

  • A clear message
  • Credibility
  • Clearly, delivers the message
  • A prospect that is emotionally connected to you, your products, or services.
  • A motivated buyer
  • Loyalty
  • Authenticity
  • Underlying Integrity

One of my favorite pieces to branding is to Inspire and to offer Inspiration. People making buying decision based on how they ‘feel’ or how a product or service might make them ‘feel’. Therefore, in your branding make sure that you are inspiring people! Make them feel good! If you keep that at the heart and soul of your branding you will excel at branding!

And most of all have FUN with it! 🙂

I hope that you found this helpful and have an AMAZING day!

You Are Amazing

Procrastination Steals From You!

Image with Quote: “Incomplete tasks in your head consume the energy of your attention as they gnaw at your conscience.” – Brahma Kumaris

What is the price of procrastination? It can be very steep as this quote eludes to.

For me my mind and my ‘mind space’ is my workshop where I get things done. I don’t want to use up valuable time in my workshop worrying about things I need to do. I want to use my space for creating my next highest vision for my life or business.

I found this quote to be a good reminder to complete those outstanding tasks and just ‘get em done’ so I can make more room for my new goals and visions.

I hope that you found this helpful too!

Have a great day everyone!

4 Traits To Develop For Resilience

We all know people who are able to handle almost any situation no matter what lives throws at them. What sets them apart from others? Can we too build resilience so that we can cope better and improve our problem solving skills?

I think we can and I think it has never been more important to build resilience.

Here are 4 things you can do to help with building resilience.

Discover & Declare Your Life Purpose

By loving what you do, you often become unstoppable and in turn more resilient to coping with the challenges that come along. So with that said, find out what your purpose is. Or at least declare and own what you are passionate about so that you can protect that and let it drive you to the doorstep of being resilient.

Practice Self-Confidence

Being confident in your own abilities is especially important to resilience. To gain confidence, you must believe in yourself. No one else can provide you confidence. That is solely up to you. Get out of your comfort zone regularly so that you can experience how self-confidence feels as you gain experience. People can support you and help you to feel confident which is great, but when YOU step up to owning your own confidence and believing in you and your life’s mission or purpose, that is where the magic happens and you become much more resilient.

Take Care of Yourself

If your body is tired, feed it proper nutrition, hydration, and get adequate sleep. Hydrate and exercise properly. The better you physically feel, the more your mental health will improve. The healthier you are, the fewer stress hormones and more balanced you will be throughout, which all contribute to your resilience.

Take Action

One of my favorite sayings is “Full speed ahead!”. Once you make a decision take action and never ever second guess yourself. Resilient people act quickly because they understand the sense of urgency to get things done which in turn builds confidence and resilience!

I hope that you found these four tips for resilience helpful 🙂

Handling Price Objection Using Pizza Psychology :-)

I was over on the platform Alignable this morning and I ran across a question in the Advice asked for section around handling price objection or when people are trying to buy your products or services and wanting a discount. It took me back in time to a moment that has helped me a lot…….

It was years ago when a friend of mine who owned a Pizzeria told me this:

“If you give a discount on a pizza they expect it every time (what you set in motion carries in motion) so what I do instead is every once in awhile if friends or good customers come in often, I give them a free pizza.”

******

My friend meant that he does not give a discount on the pizzas because they would expect it every time. However, if he gave a free pizza every so often, his good customers felt special and were super happy and thankful.

These words from my friend helped me over the years immensely! Now I give specials or random perks and giveaways to customers just because and it makes them feel special (because they are to me) and they love it!

I hope you too find this helpful. And have a great day everyoe!

Websites are WAY MORE than Simply a Website….

I was over on the platform Alignable this afternoon answering this question in the Advice Section:

“We do not have an actual website and we still get lots of work off a free website Google provided. Does anyone have a better success with an actual website?”

Here was my short and skinny answer, but trust me I could go on and on about this one! I hope that you too get some valuable pointers from this. So much has changed with technology and it is pretty damn exciting I’d say!

My Answer:

“It really depends on your needs and websites today are ‘much more than websites’. They are or can be your business’s digital anchor that launches everything.  A website can be a place that is your main Contact Manager Tool for your email list and newsletter. It is where you can have your company’s updates and specials as well as having those stream out to all your social media platforms.

In my work of helping business owners with web solutions, one of the hottest features that my clients love is to have their ZOOM embedded right into their website platform so if people are taking a class or wanting a live meeting can hop on right in the site and they do not even have to go to the zoom app and this also 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐞𝐛𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐄𝐎.

Another feature that is greatly beneficial is ‘push notifications’ from your site. For example, if someone has googled “cleaners in your area” and they have come to your site twice, you can have an offer pop up offering a discount for new customers for example… Something like “10% OFF for new customers”

And you can make these offers targeted in any way you want based on any criteria…. quite amazing!

And as for security, you can make sure your site is secured with an SSL certificate.

Websites are MUCH MORE these days than a page with your company info. They are really quite exciting and intuitive. :-)”

********************************

And like I said, I was BARELY scratching the surface on this one. But Hey if you are in the market for a new website or a refresh, did you know that I offer free demos? Yep, I can set up a site for you and let you have a free walk-through demo where my product specialist and I will show you all of the bells and whistles available to you going into 2021 and beyond!

You really can have a state of the art and leading edge website for a great price! I help people with this every day. 🙂

Have a great day everyone!

The JOY of the Journey

How often do we need to be reminded about the JOY of the journey? I don’t think we can ever be reminded enough.

Especially for those of us who are passionate entrepreneurs. We tend to ‘tear things up’ and ‘burn the midnight oil’.

It is easy to be living in the future or feeling like we are striving to ‘get somewhere’ and we forget to enJOY the journey and to enJOY the NOW.

I have a new saying that I like and it is a quote of mine and it helps me a lot! I love this so much that I am getting it imprinted on a coffee mug. If you would like one too, let me know 🙂

Picture of a woman sitting in a papason chair with a cup in her hand looking relaxed and the quote “Life is not meant to be rushed through… it goes fast enough on its own”.

I love, love, love this one because it reminds me to slow down. I especially want to do this because it A) Feels better and B) It is important for our health. Stress is truly the number 1 killer and constant adrenaline is never a good thing for the body.

I hope that today’s post reminds you to slow down and enJOY the journey a little more. Life goes by quickly and the more we can fully be in the present and be present, the better we feel and the deeper and more rewarding our life becomes.

Studies show that family, relationships, health, poor nutrition, media overload, and lack of sleep can also be sources of stress.2 The APA also found that 77 percent of people experience physical stress symptoms, 73 percent experience psychological stress symptoms, and almost 50 percent of people say stress has a negative impact on their personal and professional life.2
