How Well Do You Communicate?

Two people communicating

Whether it is in a personal relationship or a business relationship, communication is key!

Those who become master communicators win the game because there is less room for error and time is not wasted sorting through misconstrued information. And there is a lessor chance of feelings getting hurt!

The best way to communicate is to ‘spell it all out‘ in a language that is relatable. Even in blogging, such as what I am doing right now, the best thing to do is to write like you are talking to a friend sitting across from you at your kitchen table.

Gone are the days of puffed up wording and burbly descriptions that are trying to impress through ego driven endeavours. People today want the real goods delivered in a real and humble way…. certainly something to think about πŸ™‚

Have a great day everyone reading this today and everyone reading this in the future. πŸ™‚

Is it an Asset or a Liability?

money tree

One of the things I have learned about what makes successful people successful is they use this question a lot! “Is this an asset or a liability?”

An asset is something that benefits you and contributes to your success and a liability is something that takes away or simply does not contribute.

For example, if I buy a large screen TV to watch general TV programming and I am an entrepreneur this would most likely be a liability and even perhaps cost me money over and above the initial purchase cost of the television because the time I spend watching takes me away from building my own business!

On the other hand, if I purchased the TV to use for doing business presentations or for watching webinars on topics useful to growing my business, then it is an asset and a potential tax deduction!Β  It can actually make me money and/or enhance my business.

When you learn to question everything including the time you spend doing things, you quickly start to learn to make asset building choices more often.

There you go a simple question you can use to change your business and your life!

Ask Questions. Get Results!

who what when where why

Whether you are in a business where you sell a product or service, or you are in a recruiting type of business where your business grows by adding partners to your team, asking questions is paramount to success.

Many people have a fear of saying ‘the wrong thing’. Well guess what? When you ask questions you take the focus off of yourself and you let your prospect or potential customer do the talking! And then, they tell you all you will ever need to know to better answer the question of why they should partner with you or why your product may be the solution to their problem or challenge. Questions rule! Listeners win!

By becoming a master question asker, you will create value with your prospects, uncover needs and wants, and more importantly you will create a relationship that can grow and evolve. Have you ever been with someone who goes on and on and only talks about themselves? You know, the “I”, “I”, “I”, types. Not too fun is it?

When we ask questions, we show we care, and we gain insight, and when we take the opportunity to truly listen and to digest what they are saying, we truly gain huge strides in relationship building.

Have fun asking questions. As a Life and Business Coach, I have learned to ask lots of questions. The coaching model is based on asking good questions and probing our clients to help them identify where it is they want to go, and sales is no different. The sooner you become a Master Question Asker, the sooner you will flourish in your business, and more importantly, the sooner you will begin making a difference in the lives of others.

Business is Seed Planting

Life and Business are about planting seeds. Whether you are birthing a new idea, making a post on your Facebook page, or writing a blog post, you are planting seeds!

What is a seed?  A seed of any kind is unit of reproduction, capable of developing into another such plant/offspring.

What Kind of Seeds To Plant?

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 π’Œπ’Šπ’π’…π’” 𝒐𝒇 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔 π’šπ’π’– π’˜π’‚π’π’• 𝒕𝒐 π’ˆπ’“π’π’˜!!!

What are you looking to achieve in your business? Increased profits? Better revenues? More customer share? Added value?  No matter what you are looking to achieve, always plant seeds of value. Be and offer value to your current clients and customers and future clients and customers.

I personally add my own sprinkle of fertilizer in my seed planting and that is a sprinkling of servitude. No matter what I do, writing this blog post for example, I do it with an attitude of serving the world. I want to make a difference. I want to help people. I want to empower others and help them in their life and business. At the same time I am indeed planting seeds that may one day bloom.

Seeds that are planted, with value-added, can bloom into many things. New relationships, joint ventures, customers, clients, mentors, colleagues, increased revenues, new ideas, collaboration, support, and the list goes on! It never ends in fact.

So often in business we feel some things are tedious or mundane, like managing a Facebook page or making a blog post, but I challenge you to see the gift in the planting of the seeds. I myself, love managing social media and blogging, but I know many business owners do not. It’s not their JOY and that’s okay. However, every little thing that is done in servitude plants a seed that has the potential to grow into a big ole oak tree or a billion dollar company so all seeds count.

When we look at our tasks at hand as seeds, it does get a bit more encouraging doesn’t it? At least I think so πŸ™‚
