We all know people who are able to handle almost any situation no matter what lives throws at them. What sets them apart from others? Can we too build resilience so that we can cope better and improve our problem solving skills?
I think we can and I think it has never been more important to build resilience.
Here are 4 things you can do to help with building resilience.
Discover & Declare Your Life Purpose
By loving what you do, you often become unstoppable and in turn more resilient to coping with the challenges that come along. So with that said, find out what your purpose is. Or at least declare and own what you are passionate about so that you can protect that and let it drive you to the doorstep of being resilient.
Being confident in your own abilities is especially important to resilience. To gain confidence, you must believe in yourself. No one else can provide you confidence. That is solely up to you. Get out of your comfort zone regularly so that you can experience how self-confidence feels as you gain experience. People can support you and help you to feel confident which is great, but when YOU step up to owning your own confidence and believing in you and your life’s mission or purpose, that is where the magic happens and you become much more resilient.
Take Care of Yourself
If your body is tired, feed it proper nutrition, hydration, and get adequate sleep. Hydrate and exercise properly. The better you physically feel, the more your mental health will improve. The healthier you are, the fewer stress hormones and more balanced you will be throughout, which all contribute to your resilience.
One of my favorite sayings is “Full speed ahead!”. Once you make a decision take action and never ever second guess yourself. Resilient people act quickly because they understand the sense of urgency to get things done which in turn builds confidence and resilience!
